Dylan Maine's Eagle Scout Project for the Village of Hope
What is an Eagle Scout Project?
Earning the rank of Eagle Scout requires completing a significant project that benefits the community, showcasing leadership, dedication, and service. Dylan Maine has chosen the Village of Hope as the focus of his ambitious Eagle Scout project, aiming to make a lasting impact on the lives of the women and children we serve.
Here’s what Dylan plans to accomplish as part of his project:
- Enhance our facilities by installing trim and painting a recently added door on the side of the Administrative building.
- Restore our infrastructure by replacing two deteriorated entry doors on the Administrative building shed.
- Improve safety and durability by replacing the roof and power-washing the walls of the Residential building shed.
- Add comfort for residents by installing a bench in front of the Residential building, offering a place to sit while waiting for transportation.
- Maintain cleanliness by procuring and installing two new commercial trash receptacles, one for each building.
- Bring joy to children by installing a brand-new playground next to the Residential building, creating a safe and fun space for play and connection.
